Caring for someone you love near to the end of their life is hard, and it gets harder the closer the end gets. Having Carol’s support made it possible for us to have my dear mom-in-law with us, at home, at the last moment, just as she wished. I was honestly starting to push for her going into a frail-care facility because I wasn’t coping emotionally, but Carol’s expert counselling, getting the end-of-life “team” working together and helping each of us to grieve but also accept and find spiritual meaning – that was the game-changer.
